"In those cases where children do have sex with their homosexual elders. ... I submit that often, very often, the child desires the activity, and perhaps even solicits it, either because of a natural curiosity. ... or because he or she is homosexual and innately knows it. ... And unlike girls or women forced into rape or traumatized, most gay men have warm memories of their earliest and early sexual encounters; when we share these stories with each other, they are invariably positive ones."

[*] "I have been principal moderator on an Internet site devoted to examining these issues for two years, and was active on another similar site for a year before that. It became obvious very early on that the men and a few boys who participate in these sites are not the stereotypical monsters that the media portrays. They are sincere, concerned, loving human beings who simply have and were probably born with a sexual orientation that is neither understood nor accepted by most others. The condemnation and reprehension these boys and men are dealt by society are primarily the result of misinformation that has become institutionalized over time by those who are in positions to deceive and mislead public thinking and policy."

[*] "In recent years, as homosexuality has gained some acceptance, the last taboo that government is allowed to persecute has been boylove. The obsolete age of consent laws stay on the books as an excuse to throw boylovers in jail, where terrible horrors await them. This book makes the case that outdated ideas need to be swept aside, and a new perspective that honors boylove can emerge to its rightful place in society. I recommend this book it's [sic] scholarly and candid approach will open your eyes!

[*] As we reach the dawn of the twenty first century, boylove is seen in a similar way that homosexuality was seen at the dawn of the twentieth century. It was seen as evil, wrong, and labelled other such ludicrous things. This book may be difficult for some to swallow, because it explores consentual [sic] man-boy relationships in detail. Most people will have trouble clearing the "child molester" mentality that has been drilled into their heads through the media all their lives. But I urge you to buy this book and read it with an open mind, because you may just be pleasently [sic] surprised. The fact of the matter is that relationships between men and boys, including sexual and non-sexual ones, can be extremely beneficial, enjoyable, harmless, and beatiful [sic]. There's such a fear in society of sexual relations between an adult and a minor, when, as this book proves, there is nothing at all wrong with them. Enjoy this book, and try to think outside the square you live in."

[*] "Many researchers is [sic] the fields of Psychology and Human Sexuality have been taking a fresh look at the "conventional" wisdom which has been the basis for evaluation of intergenerational male/male sexual activities. The long assumed "harm" of such activities has failed to be supported by research, and the sociocultural "wrongness" based on this "harm" is therefore left without any rational basis. An extremely thorough and exhaustive paper, "A Meta-Analytic Examination of Assumed Properties of Child Sexual Abuse Using College Samples" was published in the July, 1998 Psychological Bulletin, the journal of the American Psychological Association. It brought forth howls of protest from right wing radicals all the way up to and including the United States House of Representatives, but after the furor subsided, the paper, having been subjected to intensive examination at every level, has been judged to be true, accurate and objective science. Previous to this, a collection of papers by such authors as Bullough, Bernard, Schild, Warren, Bauserman, et. al., was published as "Dares to Speak", edited by Joseph Geraci. Before that there was "Male Intergenerational Intimacy" by Brongersma. Both of these volumes are currently in print, and are available. The above mentioned paper and books are intended primarily for researchers, educators, and other people knowledgeable in these areas. Therefore, I have authored a "layman's" introductory volume, "Understanding Loved Boys and Boylovers", which essentially covers the same premises, data, and conclusions as the above, but which is written in mostly non technical language, with the average citizen in mind. This book, while certainly bound to be controversial, and which espouses certain changes in various laws, is carefully maintained within the limits of current laws, there is nothing in it which could possibly concern any postal inspector, or which could create any legal liability."

'Catholics' for a Free Choice (CFFC)
"While practices such as genital mutilation of female children and adolescents, which affects an estimated 85 to 114 million females around the world, involve obscene denials of bodyright, western cultures deny bodyright in ways only slightly more subtle. Parents, teachers, health care professionals, neighbors, and friends routinely fail to respect children's right to make choices about what happens to their bodies. Decisions about what they will eat and wear, who will touch and care for them, the very schedules on which their bodies operate, are set by others. Given what we know about the damage inflicted on self by denial of bodyright in sexual abuse, how can we ignore the less dramatic but still detrimental effects of systematic and virtually universal denial of bodyright to children?
"Our society's refusal to acknowledge children's bodyright has even distorted our efforts to protect children from sexual abuse. Much too much of the attempt to teach children to refuse sexual abuse focuses on separating sexual and nonsexual touch under the guise of bad touch and good touch. Sexual touch is not bad touch. Bad touch is any touch that is unwanted [NOTE: The North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) says exactly the same thing, as it attempts to legalize and legitimize the sexual abuse of children].
"Much too often, rather than take the time and effort to explain to a child why, for example, the child needs an immunization she does not want, we restrain her and give the immunization. When we do this we teach children that individuals have no bodyright, that those who are bigger and more powerful control the bodies of those who are smaller and weaker.

The natural conclusion from a radical perspective is that children have the right to express themselves sexually even with members of their own families. The only conclusion warranted is that not even prolonged incest is necessarily harmful."

Fry, Hedy (Liberal Party representative from Vancouver Centre)
"... the term "legal age of consent" and raising it to 16 concerns me. It is not about sexual exploitation but about the sexuality of young people below the age of 16 and their ability and right to consent to engage in sexual activity at the age of 15 or sometimes at the age of 14. I recall clearly that sexual activity in young people was beginning at the age of 13 when I was practicing medicine. I remember that it was a very difficult time for physicians who were trying to help those patients to make the right decisions with regard to issues of sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy. How do we help these young people? How do we discuss birth control and the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases? How do we talk about the issue of safe sex with these young people? First and foremost there must be a recognition that young people under the age of 16 do have a sexuality that they need to express and engage in consensually with each other. That is what concerns me about this age limit that we are placing here. Second, what happens to physicians and other health care providers who are helping these young people through these difficult times? They discuss sex in a logical and clear way in terms of the pros and the cons and talk about protection, what the risks are, and what the up sides are of this issue. What might this prohibit when we talk about appear to describe children engaged in sexual activity? Does that mean that a physician counselling a young person below the age of 16 would be considered to be describing or appearing to describe children engaged in sexual activity? Would it mean that two young people at the age of 15 who mutually consent to have sex would suddenly be indulging in an illegal activity? Is that an appropriate thing? Would it mean that when health care workers give these young people either condoms or other forms of birth control they would be doing something illegal?"

Gebhard, Paul ('sexologist')
"The Arizona pedophile who raped 800 children, Rex King known in the Kinsey files as "Green" had sex with men, women, children and animals ... Nursery school people ... parents ... couldn't give us the extraordinary detail that Green did. It was illegal and we knew it was illegal and that's why a lot of people are furious ... they say we should have turned him in instantly ... If we had turned him in it would have been the end of our research project ... Any good scientist that studies knows children are sexual beings ... little males get erections even in the uterus. They are sexual from the word go ... Green ... contributed a fair amount to our knowledge ... and medicine's knowledge of sexuality in children. We made our point that children are sexual from birth." [Interviewer: "How did Kinsey come in contact with, say, the paedophiles?"] "That was rather easy. We got in prisons, a lot of them ... we'd go after them ... Then there was also a paedophile organization in this country ... they cooperated ... some ... not incarcerated, they came and gave us information ... You had one in Britain ... a British paedophile organization."

"I would say where force and violence are involved, where mental violence is involved, there's a fine line. What about some thirteen-year-old kid whose parents have beat him up and rejected him and is out on the street looking for love, hungry, taken in by some pederast who treats him nicely, gives him an education, sleeps with him what are you gonna do? What humanely should be done? How are you going to make the distinction? The cops don't make the distinction. The law doesn't make the distinction. NAMBLA's good for making public discussion on this issue, discussing what should be the right laws. People want to scapegoat the discussion. They're willing to talk about it publicly all the time and bust people but sensible discussion seems to be out of the question. I've been accused of being a child rapist simply because I went on the air and said I was a member of NAMBLA. Ten years ago, I saw in Time Magazine an attack on NAMBLA saying it was a group involved in "the systematic exploitation of the weak and immature by the powerful and disturbed." At first reading, it struck me as a precise characterization of Time's own assault on the American mind."

"'L.I.E.' is being muzzled because it suggests that the relationship between an adult man and a teenage boy, a relationship first sparked by sexual interest but never consummated, need not be monstrous. ... That a boylover might have an interest in a boy that transcends sex, that he might act responsibly, that he might provide the love missing in an adolescent's life, that he might be something other than the predatory monster everywhere else depicted ... these are the ideas that so offend the MPAA."

Guttierrez, Cris
"Those who oppose intergenerational sex believe that a kid's life is ruined if he or she has sex with an older person. Exactly what takes place is irrelevant; all such sex falls under the rubric of 'child molestation' and is irrevocably damaging. I think this idea is patently false. A child who is raped at a very young age and a sexually active adolescent boy who has as affair with an older man have nothing in common."

It had to be kept secret ... The [paedophile] journals ... Green describing having sex with this ... little girl, this little boy or this man or this pig ... I think they are right to keep them undercover because they are not dealing with scrupulous scholars, they are dealing with people out to wreck them ... don't put this in, but there are descriptions of Green buggering [sodomizing] boys nigh on 13 ... boys sort of enjoy it but doesn't enjoy it. Paidika: "Is choosing pedophilia for you a responsible choice for the individual?"
Underwager: "Certainly it is responsible. ... Pedophiles can boldly and courageously affirm what they choose. They can say what they want is the best way to find love. "I have a friend facing a possible jail sentence for having sex with a couple of 15-year-olds. I love my friend; he is a good person. At the preliminary trial, it became evident to me that the "victims" were the seducers, who had already repeatedly had sex with each other. But in the eyes of the court, their age is the sole determining factor to be weighed. ... From tea room to drag queen, I applaud every gay subculture. ... Discrimination among ourselves is profoundly self-destructive. NAMBLA deserves to be heard and respected."

"It is possible that the pedophile's marginal position alerts him not only to self-interest but the pains suffered by all the outcast. This is not a necessary consequence of pedophilia, of course, any more than virtue is of poverty. Saunders Company], 1948 [NOTE: According to the infamous Table 31 of the Male Report, "Preadolescent Experience in Orgasm," children as young as two months were manipulated, and infants as young as 5 months "achieved orgasm." Many of the younger children had to be masturbated for more than ten minutes, according to Table 32, "Speed of Preadolescent Orgasm." Table 34, "Examples of Multiple Orgasm in Preadolescent Males," alleged that an 11-month old achieved 14 "orgasms" in 38 minutes, a 4-year old experienced 26 "orgasms" in 24 hours, and a 13-year old had three "orgasms" in one minute. Such intense physical stimulation appeared to be agonizing to the youngest children, as evidenced by the above description of their reactions when being "manipulated"].

Levine, Judith
[*] "... the fear that children are having intercourse in middle school is largely unfounded; only two in ten girls and three in ten boys do so by the age of fifteen [page xxiv] ... Indeed, the concept that sex poses an almost existential peril to children, that it robs them of their very childhood, was born only about 150 years ago [page xxvii] ... When we are ready to invite children into the community as fully participating citizens ... That will be the moment at which we respect their sexual autonomy and agency and realize that one way to help them cultivate the capacity to enjoy life is to educate their capacity for sexual joy [page 224] ... Sex is not harmful to children. It is a vehicle to self-knowledge, love, healing, creativity, adventure, and intense feelings of aliveness. There are many ways even the smallest children can partake of it" [page 225].

Harmful to Minors: The Perils of Protecting Children From Sex [University of Minnesota Press, 2002] [NOTE: Levine cites the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) as a key influence in her work, along with other child-sex advocates such as James Kincaid, author of Child Loving: The Erotic Child and Victorian Culture. She also positively cites the 1998 article in the American Psychological Association's (APA) flagship publication Psychological Bulletin that urged people to use "neutral" terms such as "adult-child sex," and said that not all adult-child sex is harmful and some might even be beneficial. The foreword to the book, by former Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders, states that parents have "an overwhelming desire for their children to receive detailed sex education at school as well as at home," and attacks the "religious right" as "people who have a love affair with the fetus but won't take care of children once they are born." The solution, Elders says, is that "children must be taught sexual ethics. ... Teaching children to have self-respect, to feel good about themselves, to make good decisions: To me, that is sexuality education"].

Millett, Kate (lesbian and Neofeminist activist)
"One of children's essential rights is to express themselves sexually, probably primarily with each other but with adults as well. So the sexual freedom of children is an important part of a sexual revolution."
Feminist writer Kate Millett, quoted in The Age of Taboo. Daniel Tsang (editor) [Boston: Alyson Publishers], 2001, and in Paul Likoudis. "Geoghan Case Reflects the Muck of a Deranged Society." The Wanderer, January 24, 2002, pages 1 and 7 [NOTE: Alyson has published titles including Heather Has Two Mommies, Daddy's Roommate, Daddy's Wedding and Gay Sex: A Manual for Men Who Love Men].
Mark Blasius: "How would you envision a sexually free society? Do you think any limitations should be placed upon a sexual revolution and what role would cross-generational sex play in a sexual revolution?"
Kate Millett: "A sexual revolution begins with the emancipation of women, who are the chief victims of patriarchy, and also with the ending of homosexual oppression. Part of the patriarchal family structure involves the control of the sexual life of children; indeed, the control of children totally. Children have virtually no rights guaranteed by law in our society and besides, they have no money which, in a money-economy, is one of the most important sources of their oppression. Certainly, one of children's essential rights is to express themselves sexually, probably primarily with each other but with adults as well. So the sexual freedom of children is an important part of a sexual revolution. How do we bring this about? The problem here is that when you have an exploitative situation between adults and children as you have between men and women, cross-generational relationships take place in a situation of inequality. Children are in a very precarious position when they enter into relationships with adults, not only in a concrete material sense but emotionally as well because their personhood is not acknowledged in our society."
Blasius: "Do you think that a tender loving erotic relationship can exist between a boy and a man?"
Millett: "Of course, or between a female child and an older woman. Men and women have loved each other for millennia, as have people of different races. What I'm concerned about is the inequitous context within which these relationships must exist. Of course, these relationships can be non-exploitative and considering the circumstances they are probably heroic and very wonderful; but we have to admit that they can be exploitative as well like in the prostitution of youth."
Blasius: "Don't you think that age of consent laws are barriers to exploring possibilities for non-exploitative cross-generational relationships and, more importantly, serve to further deny the right of youths to sexual expression?"
Millett: "Well, they were originally meant to protect the child from exploitation. But what's interesting is that the right to child sexuality is not being approached initially as the right of children to express themselves with each other, which was the issue in the '30s with the early sexual liberationists. Instead, it's being approached as the right of men to have sex with kids below the age of consent and no mention is made of relationships between women and girls. It seems as though the principal spokespeople are older men and not youths. ... The dialog about these issues within the lesbian and homosexual male movements raises very interesting issues. Have you thought about incest as an issue too? I've always wondered about the power of the incest taboo because as child and adult sexuality reaches out to greater and greater freedoms, the proximity of family members makes one experiment and challenge this taboo. The incest taboo has always been one of the cornerstones of patriarchal thought. We have to have an emancipation proclamation for children. What is really at issue is children's rights and not, as it has been formulated up to now, merely the right of sexual access to children."
Blasius: "But shouldn't one of the rights of children be that of choosing to have an erotic relationship with an older person?"
Millett: "Oh, sure, part of a free society would be that you could choose whomever you fancied, and children should be able to freely choose as well. But it's very hard to be free if you have no rights about anything, if you're subjected to endless violence both physical and psychological, if you're not permitted to speak, if you have no money, if you're already governed by a whole state system which demands that you put in forced attendance in school whether you want to be there or not. I would think that given the conditions under which you're a young person in this society, many things would be at least as important to you as your sexuality."
Blasius: "The rhetoric of pedophilia that of older men speaking out for the sexual freedom of boys reflects the underlying powerlessness of children. One could say that it is symptomatic of this powerlessness. Boy lovers are directly and acutely cognizant of the social and economic conditions which crush kids. But it is these same conditions which prevent kids both from having a real political visibility and from acting on their own behalf."

"If I were to see the case of a boy aged 10 or 11 who's intensely attracted toward a man in his twenties or thirties, if the relationship is totally mutual, and the bonding is genuinely totally mutual, then I would not call it pathological in any way. ... When the gay rights activists began being politically active, there wasn't a sufficient body of scientific information for them to base their gay rights activism on. You don't have to have a basic body of scientific information in order to decide to work actively for a particular ideology, as long as you're prepared to be put in jail. Isn't that how social change has always taken place, really?"

"THIS IS OUR CREED"
(1)
"We believe every adult and child has the right to decide for themselves their own sexual orientation.
(2)
We believe every individual or group which condemns homosexuality as wrong or sinful is guilty of bigotry.
(3)
We believe every child is entitled to non-discriminatory sex educational courses without parental interference ... and to fulfill their destinies according to their sexual orientations.
(4)
We define sexual orientation as any and every inclination or impulse which nature bestows upon a person [NOTE: This obviously represents a demand for 'straight' recognition of bestiality, among other things].
(5)
We reject the notion that any private act or behavior between consenting adults or children is unnatural or disordered [NOTE: This is an obvious demand for legalized child sexual abuse, or, as homosexual activists call it, "intergenerational love"].
(6)
We demand the recognition of homosexuality as a legitimate alternative lifestyle equal in all respects to traditional lifestyles.
(7)
We demand judicial, legislative, and executive action to protect our sexual orientations and preferences.
(8)
We condemn all groups religious or otherwise who preach sexual bigotry and discrimination.
(9)
We condemn those misguided parents who impose their homophobic prejudices upon their children.
(10)
We assert there is nothing higher than man himself to decide moral and ethical values and that god made man supreme.
(11)
We defend the rights of atheists, anarchists, and agnostics to live by their values and beliefs according to their consciences. In this we are united.
(12)
We condemn all those who presume to pass judgement on others.
(13)
We believe in equal rights for all and equal pay for equal work and assert that no corporation, government agency, or religious or educational group has the right to restrict or discourage private homosexual activity.
(14)
We believe our human rights will be realized in a social and political order where truth and justice prevail.

This we believe. This is our creed."
National Committee for Gay Civil Rights. 1984 Draft III internal review copy entitled "This is Our Creed" [NOTE: Notice that most of these items begin with the words "We condemn" or "We demand." This is typical of the homosexual mentality; there is no compromise, just a selfish expectation that everyone must yield completely to them. Note that items 2, 8, and 9 specifically condemn all those groups and people who may believe differently from homosexual activists, who demand that their beliefs be acknowledged. This hypocritical double standard is also typical of the homosexual mindset. In their mad and almost illiterate rush to draw up their list of demands, this homosexual group has made numerous logical mistakes in their "creed." For instance, note that item 10 acknowledges the existence of a god, but that man instead is supreme. Also note that item 12 is comically self-contradictory].

[*] "The North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) is an organization founded in response to the extreme oppression of men and boys involved in consensual sexual and other relationships with each other. Its membership is open to all individuals sympathetic to man/boy love in particular and sexual freedom in general. NAMBLA is strongly opposed to age of consent laws and other restrictions which deny adults and youth the full enjoyment of their bodies and control over their lives. NAMBLA's goal is to end the long-standing oppression of men and boys involved in any mutually consensual relationship by;
(1)
building a support network for such men and boys;
(2)
educating the public on the benevolent nature of man/boy love;
(3)
aligning [sic] with the lesbian, gay, and other movements for sexual liberation; and,
(4)
supporting the liberation of persons of all ages from sexual prejudice and oppression."

"The government should stay out of the bedroom. The attempts to repress and control sexuality have caused untold harm both to individuals and to society as a whole" [page 8].
"NAMBLA condemns and opposes circumcision and clitoridectomies as anti-sexual assaults on children and their right to the full enjoyment and control of their own bodies" [page 9].
"... [NAMBLA calls] for the adoption of laws that both protect children from unwanted sexual experiences and advances, and at the same time leave them free to determine the content of their own sexual experience. Age-of-consent laws deny children this right ... [but] Laws presently exist in all provinces and states to protect people of all ages from rape, intimidation, coercion, and abuse. Such laws are weakest in their application to children, in that they fail to adequately empower children to initiate and sustain legal proceedings against those who mistreat them. Much child abuse, both physical and emotional, results from this anti-child bias in the law, and is perpetrated largely by parents, other relatives, school and social service personnel, and by the police. Laws that are designed to protect people from mistreatment should be accordingly strengthened to protect children equally. Age-of-consent laws do not accomplish this, however, as they do not protect children from mistreatment but rather from sex itself ... Children especially, and all people in general, must be empowered to have control over all aspects of their lives, so far as the exercise of that control does not infringe on the rights of others. Children in our society are presently denied that control, and are treated in the law and in fact as virtually the property of their parents and wards of the state, to be used as their parents and the state wish. Consequently, our children are unaccustomed to making decisions of importance which affect themselves and unaccustomed to learning from the results of such decisions. Out of this unfamiliarity with decision-making arises the belief that children are incapable of responsibly controlling their own lives. Children in other cultures where society allows them greater self-determination *are* in fact more functional and capable than our own children at the same chronological age. Sex education should be made available to children as early as children wish. ..." [page 10].
"Young people in our society are denied nearly all the human rights [possessed by adults], and are presumed to be irrational and incapable. The policy of protection toward children growing out of this philosophy assumes that parents or their state-appointed substitutes can only relate to children from the standpoint of benevolent domination. Children are subject to abuse as a result of this hierarchical relationship. Their humanity is demeaned and their growth stunted. ..." [page 11].

"CORPORAL PUNISHMENT [such as "spanking"] IS CHILD ABUSE... NAMBLA advocates [for laws which call] on all adults to use positive, loving, non-threatening attitudes in relating to, educating, and disciplining others, especially the young.
"Kidnapping is a crime rooted in the concept of children as property. ... Parents and legally appointed guardians are permitted to force minors in their care to go to places and stay in places the minor objects to. ... In some countries, governments have ombudspersons who act as children's advocates and help them escape from unwanted living arrangements. In a nation officially opposed to slavery for over 100 years, NAMBLA calls for an end to de facto child slavery in this country, by instituting similar child advocacy legislation here. ... Current legislation treats rape as a sexual act and considers establishing the use of force as secondary to establishing the occurrence of so-called "sexual activities." In cases of consensual sexual activity involving a minor and an adult, age-of-consent legislation is used to totally ignore the presence or absence of force, threats or coercion. It equates rape with all sex. Rape is not sex and it is not love. A person who forces, threatens or coerces a boy is not a "boy-lover," and it is inaccurate to refer to him or her as such. The same is true of anyone who kidnaps, exploits or assaults boys ... NAMBLA CONDEMNS RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT. Age-of-consent laws, however, are not "rape laws for minors," but are anti-sex legislation designed to prevent minors from engaging in any type of erotic activity. ... "EXPLOITATION, SEXUAL OR OTHERWISE, IS NEITHER APPROVED OF NOR PRACTICED BY NAMBLA ... NAMBLA recognizes that exploitation occurs in the areas of hustling and the publication of erotica. ... Exploitation of the young occurs just as frequently in many other areas, most notably in youth shelters and service programs. ... "NAMBLA CONDEMNS CORPORAL PUNISHMENT, KIDNAPPING, RAPE AND SEXUAL EXPLOITATION. ... It is grounds for expulsion from NAMBLA ..." [pages 14-15].

"... and for what reason is all this punishment? (For, mark my words, being here is punishment, even though I am guilty of no crime, just as in all totalitarian countries). Just because I looked after, loved and cared for several boys over a number of years, boys who were my good friends as I was theirs; and allegedly allowed that love to develop naturally into physical affection (for, remember, here in Amerika [sic] hugging is against the law).
"They're supposedly being "protected." From what? And from whom? They neither want to be, nor did they ask to be "protected" from their grown-up friends. They only want to be protected from the efflorescent evil of over-ambitious detectives and DAs who seek promotion, publicity, and political advancement with utter disregard for the kids' feelings or the ruination of their lives.
"For boys and men alike, police intervention into their friendships is a total disaster, even if, later, charges are dismissed. The damage to both is irreparable. Nevertheless, of course, I hope this harm is minimized by the authorities dropping this senseless prosecution of my friends and myself and avoiding the many many months of media-sensationalized show-trials that will otherwise be the inevitable, ghastly and traumatic result.

"Youth Liberation has argued for some time that young people should have the right to have sex as well as not to have it, and with whom they choose. The statutory structure of the sex laws has been identified as oppressive and insulting to young people. A range of sexual activities are legally defined as molestation, regardless of the quality of the relationship or the amount of consent involved. ... The recent career of boy-love in the public mind should serve as an alert that the self-interests of the feminist and gay movements are linked to simple justice for stigmatized sexual minorities. ... We must not reject all sexual contact between adults and young people as inherently oppressive."

"When I was 12 and 13 years old I would have joined NAMBLA in a minute, because I knew I was gay and I wanted to go out and get laid, not just read The Gay Mystique all my life; I needed personal contact. We have a million gay children out there right now who are in the same boat, who know their sexuality, and aren't getting any support. Most of our supposed gay leaders are afraid to do anything with them. ... That means we're leaving the sex education of our youth to angry heterosexuals who don't understand. That's one reason NAMBLA is so important. They are willing to take the risks that no one is willing to take. ... They're the only ones willing to acknowledge that adolescents actually do have sex lives. There is also a more basic reason why I support NAMBLA. They are the voice of dissent in the gay movement today. They're the whipping boy, the fashionable group to condemn. ... I say, watch out, tomorrow that whipping boy could be you. ... In the efforts of the gay establishment to suppress NAMBLA I see the seeds of tyranny."

"Dear Mr. Love,
At its 16th membership conference, held in Chicago, August 7-9, 1992, the North American Man/Boy Love Association unanimously adopted the following resolution:
"NAMBLA calls on the Boy Scouts of America to cease its discrimination against openly gay or lesbian persons in the appointment of its scout masters. This will permit more of those individuals who genuinely wish to serve boys to do so."
I feel especially honored to have been asked to alert you of this resolution. ... I have also been a scout and scout leader and share with so many in NAMBLA affection for the movement. We recognize, of course, that the action for which we call is inevitable. What a great added contribution your organization will make possible to all the boys and girls who participate in it when you take this step. May it be taken in the near future. We share a common mission to bring greater understanding and light and purpose to the young as they grow. We invite you to join with us in cherishing individual integrity, and in seeking the opportunity for every boy and girl in our country to find their own truth. We encourage you to help every person associated with your organization to be able to express those values from themselves which to them represent for themselves the Good, the True, and the Beautiful. As we work together toward these ends Light will guide our way. We express these sentiments most respectfully.

"This intelligent handling of a controversial subject, adolescent sexuality, does not glorify or glamorize the subject. If anything, this is an anti-sex film. ... the nudity in question was not gratuitous and was a legitimate choice for the filmmaker to make. I feel strongly that in such a situation, the board should exercise discretion."

"We do not believe that consensual actions between adults, no matter how bizarre they might appear to the majority, are any concern of the law or its agents. Thus we seek to legitimize consenting actions in bath-houses and saunas, 'backrooms' in pubs, and all group sex in private, including sado-masochistic games. ... We would also like to extend the concept of "private" to include public lavatory cubicles and after-dark 'cruising' areas. Since recreational sex is a natural activity and popular pursuit, all laws which seek to control it should be abolished ... The whole basis of the current homosexual control laws is moralistic and based on a largely medieval concept of Christianity which we believe has no place in a pluralistic democratic society. ... sensitive consideration should be given to examples of [sexual] experimentation between those just above and just below a fixed age of consent."

"This man had had homosexual relations with 600 preadolescent males, heterosexual relations with 200 preadolescent females, intercourse with countless adults of both sexes, with animals of many species, and besides had employed elaborate techniques of masturbation. Of thirty three family members, he had had sexual contacts with seventeen. His grandmother introduced him to heterosexual intercourse, and his first homosexual experience was with his father."

"Extreme tension with violent convulsion, often involving the sudden heaving and jerking of the whole body ... gasping, eyes staring ... mouth distorted, sometimes with tongue protruding ... whole body or parts of it spasmodically twitching ... throbs or violent jerking of the penis ... masochistic reactions ... more or less frenzied movements ... groaning, sobbing, or more violent cries, sometimes with an abundance of tears (especially among younger children) ... extreme trembling, collapse, loss of color, and sometimes fainting of subject ... panicked or frightened ... will fight away from the partner and may make violent attempts to avoid climax ..."

Many of the younger children had to be masturbated for more than ten minutes, according to Table 32, "Speed of Preadolescent Orgasm." Table 34, "Examples of Multiple Orgasm in Preadolescent Males," alleged that an 11-month old achieved 14 "orgasms" in 38 minutes, a 4-year old experienced 26 "orgasms" in 24 hours, and a 13-year old had three "orgasms" in one minute. Such intense physical stimulation appeared to be agonizing to the youngest children, as evidenced by the above description of their reactions when being "manipulated"].

"Sex between youths and adults is one of the most difficult issues in the gay movement. When does a youngster have the right and the power to make his own sexual decisions? How are laws against intergenerational sex used specifically to target gay men? What are the issues that make the romantic image of the Greek teacher and his student in times of antiquity turn into something ugly and forbidden in the modern age? If you want to explore these issues, NAMBLA is the organization that will supply you with brochures, thought-provoking books and booklets."

HOMOSEXUALITY (Anal Copulation, PC 286). We Suggest: At age 4, and sometimes sooner, both male and female children want, can easily hold after massage, and will be allowed to have a teenager or older male's condom-covered penis in their anus. Tiny children will be required to wear a small "finger stall" or "finger cot" (obtainable from a drug store) condom from age 4 or any earlier age that they start penetrating male and female anuses. 99% of the day there is no fecal matter in the anus. No enema is required. Reasons: Makes child aware of anal venereal disease and its prevention. [Anal copulation is] part of the natural progress of development to heterosexuality.
ORAL COPULATION (PC 288a). We Suggest: At age 4, and sometimes sooner, both male and female children want, can easily hold, and will be allowed to have a tiny child, teenager, or older male's penis in their mouth. This will bring an end to thumbsucking. The child will at last get valuable hormones that appear in the mature male's ejaculate that have been denied children in the past. Very young, teenage and adult females will be allowed to provide sexual satisfaction with their mouths and tongues to the penis and clitoris of young children. Reasons: Trains for heterosexuality. No data exists showing that any harm is done. [Oral copulation is] part of the natural progress of development to heterosexuality.
HETEROSEXUALITY (Penis-Vagina Copulation (PC 261.1)). We Suggest: At age 10, 11, or 12, females want, can easily hold, and will be allowed to have a teenager or older male's condom-covered penis in their vagina. From the earliest age of desire, a very young female will be allowed to have a tiny male's penis in her vagina if the penis is covered with a "finger stall" or "finger cot" (obtainable from a drug store). At all ages prior to age 18 for the female, the female is required to have vaginal foam inserted before penetration of the covered penis. Reasons: Prevents venereal disease and pregnancy. Older person passes on tender, loving mannerisms. Lack of premarital sex leads to divorce, crime, and suicide.
MASTURBATION OF CHILD (PC 288 & PC 288.1). We Suggest: No restrictions will be on the masturbation of a child so that such enjoyment will be provided by family, friends, or neighbors so that the child will no longer seek out strangers for this satisfaction. Self-masturbation, from crib age on, not to be discouraged. Reasons: Parents and nonparents help a child toward good mental health by masturbating it or encouraging it to masturbate. Lack of premarital sex leads to divorce, crime, and suicide.
NUDITY ALONE WITH NO SEXUAL ACTIONS. We Suggest: No restrictions; thus freeing Law Enforcement to tackle disease-spreading and unwanted-pregnancy activity and photos. Almost all American children have seen an erect male penis and an adult spread-eagle vagina or pictures thereof" [emphasis in original].

Rubin, Gayle (lesbian and Neofeminist activist)
"Youth Liberation has argued for some time that young people should have the right to have sex as well as not to have it, and with whom they choose. The statutory structure of the sex laws has been identified as oppressive and insulting to young people. A range of sexual activities are legally defined as molestation, regardless of the quality of the relationship or the amount of consent involved. ... The recent career of boy-love in the public mind should serve as an alert that the self-interests of the feminist and gay movements are linked to simple justice for stigmatized sexual minorities. ... We must not reject all sexual contact between adults and young people as inherently oppressive."

Rule, Jane (lesbian and Neofeminist activist)
"My own initiation came long before I was legally adult. Though a number of males around my age offered to participate, a woman ten years my senior was "responsible," at my invitation and encouragement. The only fault I find with that part of my sexual education was the limit her guilt and fear put on our pleasure, the heterosexual pressure even she felt required to put on me. What she did "for my own good" caused both of us pain. If I were to improve on that experience now, it would not be to protect children from adult seduction but to make adults easier to seduce, less burdened with fear or guilt, less defended by hypocrisy. ... If we accepted sexual behaviour between children and adults, we would be far more able to protect our children from abuse and exploitation than we are now."

"Adult males in modern society who feel fulfilled in giving concern and tuition to boys and youths are portrayed as being interested only in boys' bodies (though this may be a small part of the attraction) and are spurned and traduced as sexual monsters. I believe we reap the harvest of our hysterical fear and homophobia today in juvenile crime, drug use and delinquency. Consider the ethical training which boys and youths gained through shudo in Japan or in the system in classical Greece, the tuition in manners, customs and humanity, the degree of civilised values imparted to them, the ideas of loyalty, honour and truthfulness; this highly personalised education with love and sensuality at its center must be far more effective than any other. We in the West are bigoted fools to dismiss it with such horror."
Colin Spencer, quoted in Homosexuality in History, page 393 [New York City: Harcourt Brace], 1996.
Swift, Michael (homosexual activist)
"THIS ESSAY is outre, madness, a tragic, cruel fantasy, an eruption of inner rage, on how the oppressed desperately dream of being the oppressor.
"We shall sodomize your sons, emblems of your feeble masculinity, of you shallow dreams and vulgar lies. We shall seduce them in your schools, in your dormitories, in your gymnasiums, in your locker rooms, in your sports arenas, in your seminaries, in your youth groups, in your movie theater bathrooms, in your army bunkhouses, in your truck stops, in your all-male clubs, in your houses of Congress, wherever men are with men together. Your sons shall become our minions and do our bidding. They will be recast in our image. They will come to crave and adore us.
"Women, you cry for freedom. You say you are no longer satisfied with men; they make you unhappy. We, connoisseurs of the masculine face, the masculine physique, shall take your men from you then. We will amuse them; we will instruct them; we will embrace them when they weep. Women, you say you wish to live with each other instead of with men. Then go and be with each other. We shall give your men pleasures they have never known because we are foremost men too and only man knows how to truly please another man; only one man can understand with depth and feeling the mind and body of another man.
"All laws banning homosexual activity will be revoked. Instead, legislation shall be passed which engenders love between men.
"All homosexuals must stand together as brothers; we must be united artistically, philosophically, socially, politically, and financially. We will triumph only when we present a common face to the vicious heterosexual enemy.
"If you dare to cry faggot, fairy, queer, at us, we will stab you in your cowardly hearts and defile your dead, puny bodies.
"We shall write poems of the love between men; we shall stage plays in which man openly caresses man; we shall make films about the love between heroic men which will replace the cheap, superficial, sentimental, insipid, juvenile, heterosexual infatuations presently dominating your cinema screens. We shall sculpt statues of beautiful young men, of bold athletes which will be placed in your parks, your squares, your plazas. The museums of the world will be filled only with paintings of graceful, naked lads.
"Our writers and artists will make love between men fashionable and de rigueur, and we will succeed because we are adept at setting styles. We will eliminate heterosexual liaisons through the devices of wit and ridicule, devices which we are skilled in employing.
"We will unmask the powerful homosexuals who masquerade as heterosexuals. You will be shocked and frightened when you find that your presidents and their sons, your industrialists, your senators, your mayors, your generals, your athletes, your film stars, your television personalities, your civic leaders, your priests are not the safe, familiar, bourgeois, heterosexual figures you assumed them to be. We are everywhere; we have infiltrated your ranks. Be careful when you speak of homosexuals because we are always among you; we may be sleeping in the same bed with you.
"There will be no compromises. We are not middle-class weaklings. Highly intelligent, we are the natural aristocrats of the human race, and steely-minded aristocrats never settle for less. Those who oppose us will be exiled.
"We shall raise vast, private armies, as Mishima did, to defeat you. We shall conquer the world because warriors inspired by and banded together by homosexual love and honor are as invincible as were the ancient Greek soldiers. The family unit - spawning ground of lies, betrayals, mediocrity, hypocrisy, and violence - will be abolished. The family unit, which only dampens imagination and curbs free will, must be eliminated. Perfect boys will be conceived and grown in the genetic laboratory. They will be bonded together in a communal setting, under the control and instruction of homosexual savants.
"All churches who condemn us will be closed. Our only gods are handsome young men. We adhere to a cult of beauty, moral and aesthetic. All that is ugly and vulgar and banal will be annihilated. Since we are alienated from middle-class heterosexual conventions, we are free to live our lives according to the dictates of the pure imagination. For us too much is not enough.
"The exquisite society to emerge will be governed by an elite comprised of gay poets. One of the major requirements for a position of power in the new society of homoeroticism will be indulgence in the Greek passion. Any man contaminated with heterosexual lust will be automatically barred from a position of influence. All males who insist on remaining stupidly heterosexual will be tried in homosexual courts of justice and will become invisible men.
"We shall rewrite history, history filled and debased with your heterosexual lies and distortions. We shall portray the homosexuality of the great leaders and thinkers who have shaped the world. We will demonstrate that homosexuality and intelligence and imagination are inextricably linked, and that homosexuality is a requirement for true nobility, true beauty in a man.
"We shall be victorious because we are fueled with the ferocious bitterness of the oppressed who have been forced to play seemingly bit parts in your dumb, heterosexual shows throughout the ages. We too are capable of firing guns and manning the barricades of the ultimate revolution.
"Tremble, hetero swine, when we appear before you without our masks!"

[*] "The children [with whom Green had sex] thought he was wonderful, all the mothers thought he was wonderful. There was no force, no damage, no harm, no pain ... [just] two instances in which a young boy or girl agreed to the sexual contact but then they found it very painful and yelled out when it actually took place. This was because they were very young and had small genitalia and Green was a grown man with enormous genitalia and there was a fit problem. But even there, there was no, never enough complaint to get him into any trouble. A very important observation ... If you go out and masturbate dogs I was very good at this when I was a boy the dog will love you to pieces because the dog has no efficient way to masturbate. He loves the orgasm as much as anybody else but he can't self-produce it. Now you just do this a time or two. The dogs do various things. You try this on all the neighborhood dogs ... Some dogs will always expect or try to talk you into doing it ... Other dogs will come to any human and say, please touch me here in a certain kind of way." [Interviewer: "Do you believe that Kinsey viewed Green's actions and material as ethically acceptable?"] "Totally ... he is clean as a whistle. Where it counts he is very clean. Nobody is objecting ... he had sex with all the relatives and brothers and sisters and aunts ... but nobody is objecting. He makes it pleasant ... Paedophilia is an almost non-existent kind of crime ... For instance, they use words like "child molestation." What is that? Nobody knows. "Abuse of children?" Are they talking about boxing them against the ear or hitting them with a stove pipe? Are they talking about tickling them a little? Are you talking about fondling?"
